Mr. Li Zhonghang is the Vice Chairman of Tang West Market Group. He is a member of Xi'an 14th and 15th People's Congress, the President of Shaanxi Cutural Industry Association, the Vice President of the International Chamber of Commerce of Shaanxi Province, the Vice President of Shaanxi Provincial Association of Tourist Attractions, the Vice president of Shaanxi Provincial Federation of Real Estate Chamber of Commerce, the Vice President of Shaanxi Provincial Collection Association, and President of Xi'an Lianhu District Tourism Association.

 

Mr. Li served in the Xi'an Institute of Politics, a military academy, as a researcher, a colonel, and an instructor of economics for graduate students before he became involved in the formation of Tang West Market Group.  He participated in the planning and implementation of the large Tang West Market Complex, Tang West Market Museum, Silk Road Expo Park, Silk Road Cultural Street, and a number of influential projects in and out of Xi’an city.

 

Mr. Li has made tremendous contribution to the development of the cultural tradition in Xi'an City and Shaanxi Province. He has planned and organized a series of cultural promotional events including “Silk Road Tourism Cultural Heritage Exhibition” and “Tang West Market Spring Temple Fair” (a Chinese local gathering for the worship of the Chinese gods and immortals) for millions of local and overseas visitors since 2010. Mr. Li proposed and organized the Concert of One Silk Road & Two Cities”, connecting China with Italy, Spain and other Silk Road countries for a better cultural understanding.

 

Mr. Li has been honored “Shaanxi Top 10 Outstanding Economic Figure”, “Provincial Top 10 Outstanding Real Estate Leader”, “Shaanxi Top 10 Real Estate Figure of the Year”, “ Shaanxi Person of the Year”, and “Xi’an City MICE Industry Leader” over the years.

Alexandra OCHIROVA
Silk Road Ambassador

Ms. Alexandra Ochirova was born in Moscow in 1949. She graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of Moscow State University in 1972 and obtained her PhD in Philosophy at the Academy of Sciences.

 

Ms. Ochirova was elected a member of the State Duma (Parliament of the Russian Federation) and Vice President of the International Affairs Committee in 1993. She has been a Member of the Board of the Presidential Council for the implementation of priority national projects and demographic policy since 2006.  

 

Ms. Ochirova served as a Member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, Chairperson of the Commission on Social Development, and Chairperson of the Commission on Social and Demographic Policy. She was also a Member of the Organizing Committee, and regularly participated in the International Women’s Summits, as well as the International Conference on Population and Development (Cairo, 1995) and the UN World Summit for Social Development (Copenhagen, 1995).

 

In 1990, Ms. Ochirova founded the International Women Center “Women’s Future”. She is still the President of this Center, one of the primary non-government organizations in the Russia Federation and famous for its innovative social programs and projects at providing medical, social, and other assistance to vulnerable social groups, primarily to women and children in difficulty. The Center participates in various charity events and international conferences on humanitarian issues, and the situation of women and children in particular.

 

Ms. Ochirova is a member of several international academic associations and non-governmental organizations. She is a Member of the Russian Union of Writers, and has been an Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts since 2011.

Jeremy Johnson was elected President of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in November 2017. He is a current Executive Councillor and a Past President of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

 

A resident of Ballarat, Jeremy has been Chair of the Central Highlands Water Board since 2010 and a Director/Trustee of Care Super Pty Ltd since 2018. He was CEO of Sovereign Hill Outdoor Museum Ballarat from 2002 to 2018. Prior to taking up an executive appointment at Sovereign Hill in 1995, he held various senior and CEO positions in local government in Victoria. Jeremy graduated from RMIT in 1982 with a Diploma of Business Studies. In 1989, he was awarded the Andrew Walls Overseas Travelling Scholarship for Local Government to study in the United States. He is a qualified company secretary, a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In 1990, he was appointed a Justice of the Peace.

 

In 2011, he received an Honorary Doctorate from Federation University Ballarat for distinguished eminent business and community service. He was honoured for Outstanding Contribution by an Individual at the 2012 Victorian Tourism Awards.

Rajesh Kazi SHRESTHA

Dr. Rajesh Kazi Shrestha is President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) which was established in 1952 AD (2009 BS), is the first Chamber of Commerce in Nepal. NCC has been playing a crucial role in the field of trade enhancement and promotion activities. Presently, more than 1600 ordinary members and 8000 registered firms are affiliated with NCC.

 

Dr. Rajesh Kazi Shrestha is also President of Nepal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCCI). NCCCI has been established in 1999 with a view of maintaining the intimate relation with Chinese industrialist and businessmen (business community) through the medium of bilateral relationship. NCCCI assist to establish bilateral trade relationship between two countries in different possible areas.

 

Dr. Shrestha is also Chairman and Managing Director of Arksh Group of companies. The group has managed various assignments and projects in automobile, hotel, restaurant, tours & travels, etc.

 

Dr. Shrestha was appointed as Assistant Minister for Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supplies. He has also been decorated by various medals of Honor by the Government of Nepal and awarded Commercially Important Person (CIP) of Nepal.

NCC has been playing a crucial role in the field of trade enhancement and promotion activities. Presently, more than 1600 ordinary members and 8000 registered firms are affiliated with NCC.

 

Dr. Rajesh Kazi Shrestha is also President of Nepal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCCI). NCCCI has been established in 1999 with a view of maintaining the intimate relation with Chinese industrialist and businessmen (business community) through the medium of bilateral relationship. NCCCI assist to establish bilateral trade relationship between two countries in different possible areas.

 

Dr. Shrestha is also Chairman and Managing Director of Arksh Group of companies. The group has managed various assignments and projects in automobile, hotel, restaurant, tours & travels, etc.

 

Dr. Shrestha was appointed as Assistant Minister for Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supplies. He has also been decorated by various medals of Honor by the Government of Nepal and awarded Commercially Important Person (CIP) of Nepal.
