Member Updates: Bulgarian - Lebanese Business Forum held in Sofia
15 Nov 2018

On November 15, the President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov officially opened a Bulgarian - Lebanese Business Forum, which was held at Intercontinental Hotel, Sofia. The forum was organized by the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon, and the Lebanese-Bulgarian Business Council, with the support of the Embassy of Lebanon in Sofia.

During the forum, a large number of Bulgarian companies had the opportunity to meet representatives of the Lebanese business. "The pledge for the success of our cooperation is the full hall today, as well as the many familiar and friendly faces I see here that work actively to expand the Bulgarian - Lebanese economic ties," Simeonov said. He stressed that statistics also show the positive development of the bilateral economic relations - bilateral trade has grown by 56% in 2017.

BCCI has registered 333 companies with Lebanese capital, while the commercial representation offices of Lebanese companies registered in Bulgaria are 95. The forum also revealed that a direct Sofia - Beirut flight is about to be launched.

SRCIC delegation just coming back from Lebanon will visit Bulgaria on November 19 and have a meeting with its member BCCI.
